I instantly saw an improvement in my skin’s texture after the first use of this moisturizer. Crazy to say but it’s true! I was afraid to use such a thick cream, thinking it would clog my pores or just not sit well on my skin as I am oily in my T-zone and acne-prone. But, after 2 weeks of religiously using it morning and night it’s safe to say that my initial fears are definitely shot down.
Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride has become one of my favorite ingredients and not shockingly, it’s third on this product’s ingredient list. It is very gentle and used as an emollient to replenish the skin’s surface and resist moisture loss. Keep in mind that creams are always better than lotions when it comes to delivering and retaining moisture. Additionally, its pH level of 5.5 is ideal, as you want your products to be more on the acidic side to preserve the skin’s acid mantle to prevent infection and skin damage.
Overall- great product that I look forward to using day and night after my Vitamin C Serum. Definitely hurts my wallet ($60), but until I discover another moisturizer to replace this one, Lala Retro will be my go-to & I’m pretty happy about it. Have you tried this or thought about buying?
